The ALS Singlecut:
The ALS Singlecut was born out of my respect for the LP. I just wanted something a little lighter and little less bulky. This guitar was designed in the early days with the help of my brother. It features a roughly symmetrical waist line, with some slight asymmetry in the lower bout for balance. Generally, it features a 2 ply laminate - a solid inch of African Mahogany topped by a solid inch of decorative, hard top wood to achieve that warm, full tone we have all come to accept as standard.
This guitar is offered with 2 humbuckers or 3 P-90′s as standard, but almost everything is achievable in a custom order.
The LJ Doublecut:
This guitar was designed to provide a little more draw to the crowd wanting something a little bit less ordinary. It was created from my custom traditional bass series, so in many ways it could be argued that its lines could be that of bass guitar expressed in a 6 string…the result - something that I think is very pleasing to the eye, very balanced, and very refreshing. This model will be offered in two versions: two humbuckers with independent tone and volume control as well as coil tapping capability, and a more simplified ‘pure’ version containing two hot P-90′s and a single tone a volume.
The LR Singlecut:
This guitar was honestly just for something different. I started working with a friend, Lee Roessler of the Lee Roessler Band, do design a new guitar. He had always been a fan of Reverend guitars and wanted something that matched well to their sound. I wanted something that provided tonal clarity, but contained a great deal of substance to match Lee’s playing and singing style. We arrived at the LR Singlecut. Aesthetically, I love the guitar. It has a nice full body with gentle curves and a tastelful 0.3″ carve on the top. The flagship model comes with wenge matched to ebony, which provided the brightness that I wanted very present throughout the tonal variations. As shown, I built it with a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates in the neck position, with an overwound P-90 in the bridge. Different, and really cool tonally.
